Anderous Mendrall Cunningham, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he shot a 49 year-old man during a dispute on Calhoun Avenue.
The victim, Johnny Napolean Gibbs, was shot in the head and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Cunningham is charged with murfer. aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
