Reginal Warren Jr, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole an unspecified item from an individual and then later found in possession of a gun and drugs.
Officers said that while taking Warren into custody they found a controlled substance that was not in its prescribed container as well as a firearm on him.
Warren, a convicted felon, is forbidden to have had a gun in his possession.
Warren is charged with theft by taking, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and drugs not in original container.
