Carlos Aguilar Alvarez, 38 of Arlington, was jailed in Rome after reports said he stole a 2018 Ford F250 from a home on Alpine Street in Silver Creek.
Reports said that Alvarez picked up the truck in order to do maintenance on it. However, Alvarez never returned the truck and closed his business down.
The truck’s value was listed at $39,000.
Alvarez is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle.
