Amanda Louis Pugh, 54 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said she stole a Dewalt generator from Home Depot.
Reports said that she was captured on camera exiting the store without paying for the item.
The generator was valued at $1,449.
Pugh is charged with felony theft by shoplifting.
