The Rome Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will finish the parking study in the downtown area this weekend. Beginning Monday, May 1, 2023 the 3-hour parking limit for on-street parking will be reinstated. The public parking decks and lots will continue to be monitored as usual and will require either a permit or vehicle registration upon arrival.
This goal of the parking study was to track consumer behavior and spending trends. The DDA would like to thank the downtown businesses and consumers for their cooperation during the past two months. Through this in-house study, imperative data was gathered at no extra cost. There will be no immediate changes to the current parking regulations following this study; however, the results from this study will help the DDA navigate future planning decisions for parking.
