The Rome-Floyd Metro Drug Task Force arrested two men, Jamaican Ja Mal Malik Mitchell, 23, and Marcus Antawn Townsend, 33, both of Rome on drug trafficking charges following a bust at a home on Blankenship Place.
Reports said that officers found over 10 pounds of marijuana packaged in vacuum sealed bags, scales and a firearm du ring the search.
Both are charged with possession/distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, drug trafficking, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Townsend is additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
