The Coosa Eagles baseball team picked up its first win in 2023 with a 6-3 victory over Christian Heritage on Tuesday night.
The Eagles got things rolling in the first inning when Hayden McBurnett drew a walk that led to a run.
Starting pitcher Andrew Earwood allowed only one hit and one run over five innings, striking out six.
Coosa racked up nine hits on the day, being led by Hayde McBurnett and Pacey Smith who had multiple hits.
Sophomore sensation Colton McBurnett came in for the save.
The win was the first in his career for head coach Hunter Davis.
