James Ladell Meredith, 46 of Rome, was arrested this week at a home o Clifford Street after officers found seven dogs used for fighting and a variety of drugs.
Reports said that a search led officers to find marijuana packaged for resale, THC wax, and seven dogs that are used for fighting, as well as articles used for dog fighting.
Reports added that some of the items included; bite sticks wound care products and a ledger used for betting.
Meredith is charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute, seven counts dog fighting, possession of drug-related objects and manufacturing/distributing or selling drugs with the intent to distribute.
