Joshua Lee Lumpkin, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he grabbed a 53 year-old man by the neck during a dispute.
The victim was reportedly left with visible marks and scratches on their neck.
The incident occurred at a home on Floyd Street in Cave Spring.
Lumpkin is charged with battery.
