Carlos Escutia Cruz, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he made violent contact with a 17 year-old female.
Reports added that Cruz caused physical injury to the victim.
While taking him into custody, Cruz was found in possession of a THC vape.
Cruz is charged with battery and possession of a schedule I controlled substance.
