Trenton Tyrice Williamson, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he hit a woman with a rock.
Police said that Williamson hit the 25 year-old victim, the mother of his child, in the leg with the rock, which resulted in an injury to her left knee.
When officers arrived, they said that Williamson attempted to flee the scene on foot.
Williamson is charged with battery and obstruction.
