Melvin Mack Marbury, 50 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of two fake $100 bills and methamphetamine.
Police added that after advising Marbury that he was being placed under arrest, he attempted to flee the scene.
Authorities added that the items were found after Marburry falsely reported a crime though a 911 call. Police were dispatched to the home after he told 911 that there was someone in their home when there was not.
Marbury is charged with possession of meth, first degree forgery, obstruction, unlawful conduct during a 911 all and probation violation.
