Bilmer Romain Vasquez-Ambrocio, 25 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he had sexual relations with a 14 year-old girl, who was not his spouse, back in 2018.
Police said that it was discovered that he allegedly convinced the child to leave her home in the middle of night without permission and paid a taxi to come pick her up and bring her to meet him.
Authorities said that they found Vasquez-Ambrocio at a “beauty salon” on Shorter Avenue this week. While speaking with the suspect, police said that Vasquez-Ambrocio gave them a fake date of birth.
Vasquez-Ambrocio is charged with child molestation, statutory rape, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, enticing a child for indecent purposes and giving false information to police.
