Michael Hiram Wood, 20 of Kingston, was arrested this week after reports said he nearly starved his yellow lab dog named “Zeke” to death.
Reports said that Wood failed to provide food, water, and sanitary conditions to the extent that the dog was seriously disfigured.
Police stated the “Zeke” was found on a conditioning score of 1/9. The animal’s ribs, lumbar, vertebrae, and pelvic bones were all evident from a distance. He was also found to be suffering from round worms and tapeworms. He also suffered from paraphimosis, an extremely painful condition.
Wood is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
