The woman that was struck by a Dodge Truck over the weekend, Rose Shippey, had succumbed to her injuries.

According to Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor, Shippey was pronounced dead on Tuesday evening as the result of brain injuries.

A woman, that has been identified as Rose Shippey, was struck by a Dodge Truck last weekend and is said to be in dire condition.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, troopers were dispatched Saturday evening to the Racetrac gas station on Martha Berry Highway. Shippley was reportedly hit by a Dodge truck that was driven by Barry Dupree, as she was walking across the parking lot.

Dupree was not injured in the accident.

The GSP is continuing its investigation.
