Shaun Blake Salmon, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly punched his girlfriend in the head in front of two children.

The incident occurred at his home on Reservoir Street.

Police added that Salmon had been previously told by the courts to stay away from the victim.

While taking him into custody, police said that he was found in possession of a stolen car tag. It was also discovered that he was driving on a suspended license.

Salmon is charged with aggravated stalking, batterery, two counts cruelty to children, theft by receiving stolen property, acquiring a license plate for purpose for concealing identification of a motor vehicle and failure to obey traffic control devices.
