Johnny Marshall Andrew Wheeler, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he violated a court order to stay away from a 28 year-old woman.
Police said that he went and made contact with the woman at a location on Cave Spring Road.
Wheeler is charged with aggravated stalking.
