Ronald Dwight Hammitt JR, 47 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he physically attacked a woman at a home on Overlook Point.
Reports said that Hammitt grabbed the woman by the wrist before slamming her into a wall. Hammitt then proceeded to grab the woman’s leg, which left a visible injury. Hammit is also accused of biting woman on the neck.
Hammitt is charged with simple battery.
