David Shawn Howard, 41, of Lindale, Janet Duncan-Lary, 34 of Lindale, and Courtney Howard, 35, were arrested this week after reports said they allowed six children to live in unsafe and deplorable conditions at their home on Westpoint Drive.

Police said that the home was found to have animal feces and urine covering most of the floor.  There were also large amounts of household trash and debris coving the home.

Reports added that the children also did not have access to a refrigerator, washer, or dryer.

The home also contained only 1 bunkbed and two individual beds for the six children and three adults.

The children were also sent to school with an extreme odor of filth and complaining they were hungry.

All are charged with six counts of cruelty to children in the first degree and six counts of contributing to the deprivation of a child resulting in serious injury or death.
