An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Anthony Dennis Walker, 21 of Winterville, is facing additional charges this week after reports said he attempted to kill another person.
Reports said that Walker repeatedly beat another person with his fist and feet while stating that he was going to kill him.
Authorities went on to say that the victim suffered visible injuries to his face the attack.
Walker is charged with aggravated assault battery and terroristic threats and acts.
He had been housed at the jail since Thursday as a hold for Chattooga County.
