Ronald Dwight Hammitt, 47 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado.
Reports said that Hammitt stole the truck from a location on East Hermitage Road in early October.
Hammitt is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle.
