Martin Mendoza-Pablo, 37 of Grand Island, NE, was arrested in Rome after reports said he choked a 25 year-old woman unconscious.

Reports added that Mendoa-Pablo took her cellphone and then told her he would kill her if she called law enforcement.

He is then accused of punching and kneeing her to the face and head. The victim suffered visible injuries to her face and eyes.

After the assault, Mendoza-Pablo is accused of locking her in a room for hours.

Mendoza-Pablo is charged with aggravated assault, robbery, false imprisonment, aggravated battery and terroristic threats and acts.
