Brando Leighann Cleveland, 35, and Ashley Faith Hollaway Richards, 31, both of Cartersville, were jailed in Rome after reports said they attempted to cash a fraudulent check back in September to the Village Shop Convenience store on New Calhoun Highway.
Reports said that the check was in the amount of $673.72 and was written on the account of Proctor Keene Chiropractic Clinic through Bank of America.
Investigators determined that the business odes not have an account with the bank and the routing number was incorrect.
Both are charged with fourth degree forgery.
