Tiffany Danielle Whatley, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after a traffic stop at the intersection of Wilshire and Burton Roads led police to find drugs.
Reports said that Whatley failed to make a complete stop and nearly caused a wreck.
After being pulled over, police said that they found her to be driving under the influence and in possession of Xanax and Gabapentin that were not in their oringal container.
She was also found to be in possession of a handgun in her purse.
Whatley is charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, drugs not in original container, possession of dangerous drugs, DUI, possession of a weapon during the course of a crime, and a stop sign violation.
