Cave Spring Police arrested Shirley Ayers Simpson, 54, and Ronald Eugene Kelley, 59, both of Cedartown, this week after reports said they were found with a large amount of methamphetamine and marijuana during a traffic stop on Craven Street in Cave Spring.

Reports said that officers pulled Simpson over after they noticed her failure to maintain her lane of travel.

A search of the vehicle then resulted in the officer finding a metal container that contained marijuana and two bags containing over 28.2 grams of meth.

Nether Simpson or Kelley claimed ownership of the drugs.

Simpson is charged with possession of methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, open container violation and failure to maintain lane.

Kelley is charged with possession of methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana.
