For the third day this week, Rome Police were called to Rome High School thanks to a large fight on campus.  According to Assistant Chief of Police Debbie Burnett five female juvenile students were arrested and charged with battery following the altercation in the school lunchroom.

Burnett told CVN that parents need to go over the student handbook and look at the guidelines about videoing the fights. Burnett said that students caught videoing and publishing the fights could face punishment from the school.

Over a dozen students have been arrested just this week following fights at school.

“We have been, and will continuing, to place additional officers at the school to help the school resource officers,” Burnett added.
