Gregory Michael Thomas, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of drugs and a gun.
Police said that Thomas was found with a handgun while in possession of marijuana at the Armuchee Park.
Thomas is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
