Kenneth Naymond Rogers, 35 of Cartersville, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to ram a police vehicle during a chase in Rome .
Police said that when they initiated a traffic stop, Rogers fled at a high rate of speed. At one point during the chase Rogers is accused of attempting to ram an officer before exiting on foot and fleeing.
Rogers was captured after a foot chase. He proceeded to tell officers that he smoked marijuana before driving.
Rogers is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, obstruction, attempting to elude police, distracted hands free law violation failure to obey traffic device, driving without license, reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane and DUI.
