Cornelius Maurice Kindred, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to strangle a woman and beat her with a cellphone.
Police said that the incident occurred inside a vehicle on Beverly Drive June 17th.
The victim reportedly suffered injuries to her neck and right shoulder.
Kindred is charged with aggravated assault.
