Najii Amore Harlan, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he repeatedly lied to police before fleeing on foot and dropping a backpack containing meth in the process.

On June 16th Harlan is accused of giving police a fake name and date of birth before fleeing the scene on foot.

Then on June 24th, again while speaking with police Harlan fled the scene on foot, this time dropping the backpack which contained the meth.

Harlan was eventually captured and taken to the Floyd County Jail, deputies found meth on him.

Harlan is charged with two counts of obstruction, possession of meth, littering, giving false information to police, and crossing the guard line with drugs.
