Michael James Rogers, 31 of Silver Creek, was arrested at the Piggly Wiggly after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman attempting to stop him from stealing from the store.
Police added that Rogers was attempted to steal less than $10 worth of items when the female attempted to stop the shoplifting.
Rogers then raised his fist in an attempt to hit the woman before threatening her life.
Rogers is charged with simple assault, theft by shoplifting and terroristic threats and acts.
