Sommer Michelle Priest, 45 of Cartersville, was arrested in Rome after reports said she took money for services she did not perform.
Police said that Priest was given $850 in return she would pressure wash and paint a home on Westwood Circle.
Police added that Priest told the victim that she needed the money up front to buy supplies. However, reports went on to say that Priest never did the work and failed to return the money when asked to do so.
Priest is charged with theft by deception.
