Rome police arrested Nelson Antonio Cintron, 19, and Elvis Recio Mancebo-Jimenez- both of Orlando, Florida, after a traffic stop near the intersection of Dean Avenue and Roy Street led officers to find drugs and a gun.
Police said that they initiated the stop after Mancebo-Jimenez ran a stop sign. After pulling over, officers found over an ounce of marijuana, a grinder, and a firearm,
Reports added that Cintron refused to exit the vehicle and then refused to place his hands behind his back.
Both are charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of drug related objects.
Cintron is also charged with obstruction.
Mancebo-Jimenez is additionally charged with a stop sign violation.
