The owners of Sky21 television in Summerville announced this week that they have been sold to Grey Television, one of the largest broadcasters in the United States. The “low powered” tv channel also announced that it will move its operations to Floyd County, where it will be featured on cable television.

A statement from the station reads:

“All of us at SKY 21 send a big “Thank You” to the many viewers, customers, and friends who have been watching, advertising and calling us over these past many years.

The new owners will be moving WKSY to Floyd County, Ga in the near future.  When the FCC makes the changeover, our broadcast channels and Charter channels will go off the air.  This will occur most probably sometime in May.  Until then SKY 21 will keep broadcasting as usual. â€ś
