Dawson Lee Miller, 20 of Lindale, was arrested this week after police said they found him smoking marijuana after attacking a woman at a home on End 2nd Avenue.
Reports stated that Miller punched the woman in the mouth in front of a 1 year-old child.
Officer said that when they arrived on scene they found him smoking marijuana.
Miller is charged with battery, possession of marijuana and cruelty to children in the third degree.
