Richard Rene Bagley, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he broke into a home on Charlton Street and took car keys before stealing the car.
Police said that he was soon spotted driving the stolen 2010 Ford Fusion. A search of the vehicle resulted in authorities finding suspected methamphetamine, a lighter and several pieces of aluminum foil.
Bagley is charged with first degree burglary, felony theft by taking and possession of methamphetamine.
