Jason Roy Dempsey, 50 of Armuchee, was arrested after reports said he hit a small child with a right, resulting in physical injuries.
Police said that Dempsey threw his wedding ring at a little girl, hitting her in the right leg. Reports added that the incident occurred a domestic altercation at his home on Old Summerville Road.
Dempsey is charged with simple assault.
