Riley Eugene Newell, 21 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he failed numerous times to comply with orders of being a sex offender.
Reports said that in August of 2021 Newell did not inform the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office that he was fired from his employment at Chili’s. Then in October of 21, he failed to notify the FCSO that he had gained employment with Jersey Mike’s. Then in November, Newell allegedly failed to notify the FCSO that he had been fired from Jersey Mikes’s.
Again, on February 1 of this year, Newell is accused of failing to notify the FCSO that he had gained employment at the Zaxby’s on Martha Berry Highway.
Newell is charged with four counts of failure to comply with requirements as a sex offender.
