Lisa Michelle League, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she neglected to care for her 14 year-old child, as well as three dogs.
Police said that they found the child living in a home that was covered by animal feces as well as three decomposed bodies of dogs.
Police added that the home smelled of filth with roaches covering the walls, floor, and ceiling.
Police added that League failed to provide the necessary care for the life and health of the animals which resulted in their death.
League is charged with cruelty to children in the second degree and two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.
