Alonzo Tyrone Law Jr, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he hit a woman in the face with his fist.
Reports added that Law then dragged the woman across a parking lot on North Elm Street.
The victim reportedly suffered visible injuries to her body, face, and neck.
Law is charged with battery.
