Michael Clay Duncan, 25 of Plainvillle, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked a woman and her dog at his home on Plainville Road.
Reports said that Duncan shoved the female victim and then proceeded to bust her lip. Duncan then went after her dog. The victim told authorities that Duncan placed the dog on the ground and began to choke it out. The alleged incident occurred in front of a two-year-old child.
Police added that a wall in the home was damaged in the incident.
Duncan is charged with battery, cruelty to children in the third degree, cruelty to animals, and criminal trespass.
