Morgan Rodriguez-Cruz, 33 of Marietta, was arrested in Rome after reports said he engaged in online conversations of a sexual nature with someone he thought to be under the age of 16 years.
Police added that Cruz then traveled to Floyd County to meet up with the child to have sexual relations.
Cruz is charged with child molestation, use of a computer to seduce a child to commit a felony, obscene internet contact with a child, and driving without a license.
