Angela Star Lindsey, 36 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she was driving intoxicated at high rates of speed with two children in her car.
Police said that after stopping Lindsey for speeds of nearly 80 mph down GA 1 near Walker Mountain they discovered she was driving on a suspended license.
Police then discovered that she was in possession of, and driving on, marijuana.
Two six year-old children were also inside the vehicle. Officers added that one of them was not in a car seat.
Lindsey is charged with speeding, safety restraint violation for a child, possession of marijuana, DUI, two counts endangering a child by DUI and driving on a suspended license.
