William Martin Hudgins, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he beat a 29 year-old woman in the face during an altercation on Old Summerville Road.
Reports stated that the victim was left with visible marks on her left cheek, jaw and above her eye.
Hudgins is charged with battery.
