Jamal Tyrone Harper, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he chased a woman with a knife before attacking her in front of children,
Reports added that while Harper chased the woman while holding a knife he began to yell, “I’m going to kill you!”.
Allegedly after chasing the victim down stairs he caught her and began to beat and bite her.
Harper is then accused of beating and biting two small children that witnessed the attack.
Police went on to say that when one of the victims attempted to call 911 for help, Harper took her phone and broke it.
Harper is charged with aggravated assault, cruelty to children in the third degree, cruelty to children in the first degree, two counts criminal trespass, obstruction of a person making a 911 call and probation violation.
