Jeovani Tomes Ortega, 31 of Tucker, was arrested in Rome after reports said he engaged in online conversations that were sexual in nature with someone he thought to be under the age of 16 years.
Reports stated that Ortega then traveled to a location in Rome where he was to perform immoral acts, including sodomy, to someone he thought was a child.
Ortega is charged with obscene internet contact with a child and criminal attempt to commit a felony.
