Marlow Stephon Clowers, 51 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole wallet that had been dropped at the Hi Tech Food Mart on Dean Avenue.
Reports said that Clowers never tried to return the lost wallet.
The victim said that the wallet contained nearly $600 in cash, as well as bank and identification cards.
Clowers is charged with theft of mislaid property, driving on a suspended license.
