A Rome man, Christopher Dewayne Bailey, 37, who was arrested last month on numerous counts of felony theft is now facing burglary and other charges.

Reports said that sometime between April 5 and 7th of this year Bailey broke into a home on Matilda Drive and stole over $4,000 in tools.  Reports added that the home was being remodeled at the time of the burglary.

Then on April 18th, Bailey allegedly broke into a home on Old Cedartown Road.  It was there he was found in possession of a stolen car and then proceeded to flee from law enforcement.  That same day he is accused of entering property on Eden Valley Road and stealing a pressure washer valued at $600.

On September 28th, he is accused of stealing a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado from a location on Callier Springs Road. The vehicle was later found in Gilmer County where it had suffered over $500 in damages.

Bailey is now charged with three counts theft by taking, two counts burglary, five counts criminal trespass, and criminal damage to property.

Christopher Dewayne Bailey, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole over $15,500 worth of items from between March and April of this year.

Police said that on March 15th Bailey stole a hydraulic rod driver, bits for the driver, rolls of copper wire, hydraulic tamper, hydraulic tamper remote, cooler and misc. tools.  The items were valued at over $7,000.

Then sometime between April 7th and 8th of this year Bailey allegedly stole 4 blank tubes for linesman mats, hot cutters and a copper wire mechanical jumper. Those items were valued at over $8,500.

Bailey is charged with two felony counts of theft by taking.
