Rome Man Charged with Choking, Beating Women to Near Unconsciousness

Timothy Dwan Hammond Jr, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week choked a woman nearly to the point of unconsciousness before beating her in the head.

Reports said that Hammond beat the woman’s head and face with his fist, causing damage to her inner ear.

The incident occurred back on February 12^th.

Hammond is charged with aggravated battery and felony probation violation.
