Gordon County authorities have taken a 16 year-old male into custody following the shooting of a 14 year-old male on Thursday.
Authorities said that they arrived at a home on Newton Road around 10 pm to find the teen shot and suffering from serious injuries.
The weapon that is believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered by authorities.
The investigation is ongoing.
